More go to church in Christianity.
In Islam, fewer go to the mosque to pray because they are kept behind screens and can't participate the same as men.
I don't know the stats re Judaism.
Other world religions? I don't know.

Depending on the religion. Women in Islam are not allowed to worship in the same hall as the men; as such there are significantly less women in mosques; the smaller gatherings attending religious lessons in prayer rooms. One seldom see muslim women marching alongside the men in commemorating the Prohet's birthday. Islam is very much a male-dominated religious faith.
Women are in abundance attending Taoist, Buddhist rites, rituals and ceremonies conducted mainly by monks and religious leaders. I'd say women in these faiths are more religious than men.
Hindu and Christian women in S E Asia seem more religious than men which i feel is a natural phenomena due to the stress placed on women in their roles as mother and spouse. It is often the women that gets the family ready for church.

How can women be more religious than men. To think of women being more religious than men is a crime, but to say it out is evil. Starting from the history of man in the bible, men are the only people God has been using to do great wonders.
God created women to be a helper to the man, that's all. Even God asked women in the bible to keep mute in the church, because they don't know anything about religion.
Let's cross examine the life our recent rare icon; Pope John Paul II, he fought tirelessly to see that woman are not made priest in the Catholic church. He knew quit well that religion is for men.
But woman can only partake in religion by only keeping to the principles and the ethics as directed by God through man.
If you see many women in the church, you will think that they are Angels, but outside the church you will be asking yourself; 'are they not the same people i saw inside the church some couple of minutes ago".
Statistics has shown that the highest number of abortion, are committed by those canal religious girls. They will appear in the clothing of Angel and at the same time dining with the devil.

Seems so...they are the "spirit" of the home.
Men are the "spiritual leaders". OR they should be, but since some aren't/don't have the fortitude then women are forced to be more spiritual.
If men won't do it, God will have it done, women seem more willing, but I suppose rocks would do it too, if God willing.
By the way, God will still hold the man responsible as he is the "umbrella" over the family between them and God.
Remember Adam, whom God held responsible. You never hear of Eve's sin, but it is Adam's sin. Adam was to keep his family right with God. A Godly man has no problem with that.

In my experience I have found that to be true. In all the churches I've attended I have known many women who have attended church despite the fact that their husbands do not. I have known only one man who went to church despite the fact that his wife did not. After a divorce I have known more women to continue to go to church then men. However, I don't know that the individual Christian woman was more religious than the individual Christian man. I have noticed that women seem to spen more time in prayer then men, but that men seem to spend more time in the Bible than women.

Definitely there is no rule. But I think because women are more emotional generally, they are more willing to give way to religious feelings. Men are usually more analytical, and could be griven away from religion to reasoning.
Allah knows better.

While I do agree that religion has nothing to do with gender, I did notice that churches whereever I go, has more women than men.
It may be that women are more concerned about relationships, societial connections, being social and such. Church and religion provides that "society glue" that SOME women need. Most, not all, women are more emotional beings than (most, not all) men are. Church and religion does help provide "food" for their emotional aspects.
Tho, it IS refreshing that I am seeing more and more men opening up their emotional aspects in public and not being shy about it. :-) KUDOS, guys!!!! I am a sucker for that. ;-)

It depends on one mind. However, I don't think that women are more religious than men. I noticed it among my classmates from 6 years.

In my opinion, considering the fact that there is a majority of women in every church all over the world. Yes! If a lot of women answer this question it will definitely be evidence.

I think women tend to be a bit more spiritual. Y'no, babies and flowers and kittens and rainbows and all that Jazz, they're attracted to the love and kindness of religion - love thy neighbour and stuff. I do think that women are perhaps more open to religion and changing their beliefs when they think they have found the truth - they're a bit more humble than blokes is all. Two different sexes, two different beings!
