Judaism is not as hung up on sexual issues as many other relgions. Strictly speaking there are no laws against pre-marital sex- but these were enacted by the rabbis for the follwoing reasons:

1) That a reputation for promiscuity would bring shame on a woman
2) That in the Ketubah, the marriage contract, a divorce settlement amount was lower for a girl that was a non-virgin when she got married
3) To reduce the possibility of intermarriage by Jews having intercourse with non-Jews.

These laws are buttressed by the fact that a man cannot touch a biddah ( a woman that has had her menstrual period and not been to mikveh)- since the only way for a man to know when a woman has been to mikveh- Jewish men refrain from even touching women that are not their wives or are too old to menstruate. Of course, the assumption is that any non-Jewish woman is a niddah since they never visit mikveh and thus they are forbidden to Jewish men.So Judaism does place a value on virginity- but it is not a pre-occupation or exceptionally important issue at all.

The second part of your question is easily answered- a woman that has divorced her husband and received a Get (a document stating that the marriage is ended), is free to remarry and do as she wishes. Until the Get is isuued- the man and woman remain married.

I'm not a Jew , but to answer your question, in Gods eyes it is Important for Both Men and Women to remain virgins till the day they get married , God does not disinguish between the sexes when it comes to morality or any other important issue. He Is The Same Yesterday Today and Forever. When He tells us in the scriptures not to fornicate (sex before marriage) or to commit adultary it applies to BOTH men AND women....God does not give one rule for Men and a different rule for women regarding this issue. So any man that tells you other than this is fooling you.and perhaps putting his own agenda into play insread of following Gods commandments. ..hope this helps :-)

it best for a marriage to have NO baggage
so since judiasm sees the family unit as central to life in general
the best marriages are those who start off with a clean slate such as niether one ever having been with any one else
"(crooning) onllllly yoooouuuuu"

and yes divorce and remarriage are possible

Virginity for a woman is always explained in terms of the breaking of her hymen. But as everyone knows, there are many ways to have fulfilling sex. So what's the big deal?
I don't understansd what you're referring to regarding widowhood.
