Safe as driving an aluminum can 60 MPH to get to the office.
Ah life, game of risks.

Since all doctors have indecipherably similar credentials,
Just judge his work by his smile.
If he smiles genuinely you should be Ok.

Well that's how I believe people.
Someone with a big smile taught me that btw^^

What kind of laser treatment do you mean? Some of the answers seem to be about different types.

I had laser treatment to sure my short sightedness about two years ago, and it's the best thing I ever did. Brilliant.

Can now see clear as a bell and just wish I'd done it 10 years before & saved £thousands on contact lenses and glasses.

Laser treatment is safe when done by qualified and experienced doctors. However before you go for laser treatment you have to stay out of the sun for one month and after the laser treatment again stay out of the sun for one month otherwise if you don't you'll have a higher risk of getting skin cancer.

Yes, it's completely safe. My aunt is a physioteraphist and uses laser treatment alot. my father's been getting it a lot lately too and it really helped him. But make sure that people who use this kind of treatment have their license confirmed. It's the people not the device that's making mistakes.

I will only speak of wat I've learned being a Biological Sciences student. Any type of laser treatment is not HEALTHY especially eyes!! coz laser involves rays and how long will the change in ur body be able to bear the modifications that u hav done to ur natural part of the body...as u get older there r changes that r certain and u cant stop them! and laser is never permanently healthy..it may sound like but it isn't...atleast not capable enough to bear the natural changes in the human body overtime!

It is unless the person performing the treatment SCREWS UP. If it's surgery you're talking about then, just as with the "cuttin' kind", there is risk of infection. This is common-sense stuff. If you are having a hair growing out of a mole on the end of your nose zapped because you think you look too much like Beowulf might have done then beware: it may grow back again (out of another spot on the same mole on the end of your nose). In which case you may wonder if it's genetic or not. If you decide it is, then save your money.

Lasik Surgery(including mastectomy) is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges laser surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as laser surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .

My cousin got his lasik done there and he is more than very happy with the results. He is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.he paid just 30% of the cost what he was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for him .hope this helps
