Truly, I've wondered this for years.

The J.W. organization has a certain number of floor plans for local congregations to pick from. This keeps costs down as per architects. The lack of widows makes construction faster, easier, and again cheaper. Lack of windows also helps keep down heating and air conditioning costs over the years. The whole thing is geared towards cost efficiency. And it works well for them along those lines. ~ Peace & Blessings ~

My sister and her husband attend a kingdom hall that has many big windows and even the doors are made of glass, the front sliding door is always open and anybody walking by can see what is happening inside and can come in and see if they don't come in to cause trouble. In summary, why do not all birds have pink spots? it is not rellevant.

The idea that all Kingdom Halls have no windows is a myth.

There is nothing sinister about it. They often have "quick builds" in which the hall us said to be built in a weekend (they do have a lot of preperation so it is not as fast as they would like us to believe)

I have attended hundreds of these meetings and there is nothing going on they do not want you to see but they sure do not like questions asked other then what they ask you to ask.

I have seen no concern for the lost as I have seen in many other places. I have not seen one tear shed in a Kingdom Hall, one prayer request for someone that is hurting. It is a form of religion that denies the power of a close relationship with God that we can all have just by the asking.

Some older building DO have windows. Modern Kingdom Halls are frequently built without windows for security reasons and to save money. Members often build or renovate their own Kingdom Halls, and they keep them clean and well maintained.

When they build a Kingdom Hall, it is assembled by the Congregation usually in one day or week-end. The windows are left out because they are unnecessary and time consuming.

Most Kingdom Halls actually DO have windows.

Your area must be one of either terrible crime rates or terribly bigotted vandalism, and so windows would be broken too frequently to be make economic sense.
