The package says thaw in refridgerator for 5 hours and not to thaw on countertop or microwave for best results but I need to use it pronto. Will it still be good to thaw it in microwave? What power level and time?

You can just set it on the counter for awhile.
It will be fine served semi frozen or even frozen for that matter because by the time it is served it will be thawed.

If you feel the need to have it more thawed before serving, you can cut it in 1/4ths or 1/8th or spoon it onto a plate.

It will thaw as quickly as ice-cream would. The temperature in the room will determine how fast it thaws.

If you put it in the microwave you will have liquid cool whip. Try it with a spoonful.

Enjoy! Diane ;-)

Even though I think cool whip is disgusting, especially after being frozen....

This is how I would do it: Make sure the lid to the container is on tight. Put he stopper in the sink. Put the container in the sink. Fill the sink with warm water up to the lid of the container. Leave it in there for a while and just keep checking on it, stir it, etc.

(just make real whipped cream for gods sake, it's not that hard and taste 100x better).

Homemaid whipped cream: 1 pint heavy cream, half a cup of fine, white sugar, vanilla extract. Whip it up with a mixer or by hand. Done.
