Cats can develop upper respiratory infections--or UTIs--that can be very serious. Symptoms include labored breathing, discharge from the eyes and/or mouth, coughing, or "noisy" breathing, where you can hear a motor like sound each time they breathe. It is extremely important to get to your veterinarian so your pet can be put on antibiotics and fluid therapy. "Colds" are contagious, and can spread amongst a household of cats and cause serious problems. Usually the animal will be quarantined at a hospital until their symptoms dissipate.

No, then a cat gets a cold it's far more serious then when you or I get one. It's an upper respiratory infection that's sometimes called a "Cat cold" but it's deadly. You need to go to the vet and get some medicine.

Yes cat's can catch colds. When I got my kitten from the local shelter he had herpes virus of the eyes, pink eye in humans, and then an Upper Respritory infection. I was given the same old Pink bubblegum amoxicillin and a syringe to give him 8 cc of it. Uncanny isnt it. If the cat is sneezing, weezing or coughing, take it to the vet.

Yes they can, you should really head to the vet as if it is cat flu and not just a cold then it can be fatal. I have lost cats to catflu and it is not the nicest thing to have happen to something that you love.

yes they can.you should keep them indoors as much as possible.as far as home remedies go, your probably better off buying some medicine because theres no guarantee that home remedies always work.theres also a chance that if you use the wrong thing, your cat could have a reaction.

Cat's colds are much like our colds except they can be more serious. They can lead to secondary infections much easier then when we have colds. See a vet.
