I'm a bi-racial woman and I'm dating a Scottish guy. He is wonderful to me and even respect that I don't want to have sex until after marriage.
Yesterday he found out one of his friends (white guy) was hitting on me. I blew him off. I'm not interested at all but he said the other guy only likes to have sex w/black women, nothing more. Then he said most white guys feel this way, they will only use black women for a "good time", nothing serious. He thinks it's wrong but says that is the way it is. Is this how many white men really feel?

I feel great about it! I really don't mind interracial dating. I think its beautiful when people can express their feelings and not bow to the status que placed on us by society. People forget the culture of America and so it seems, there isn't what they would describe a "problem" with this situation, They choose not to address it, well the "problem" is people being color blind, to the specifics of the word, BLIND TO THE COLORS AROUND YOU. They are unwilling to accept them and hence they are not there or you are blind to them. I don't believe in color blindness, its ignorance, it needs to change, be aware of the wondrous variety around you and accept it. I Think its extremely interesting to learn about other people's ways of life. I think its really sad that people of any race can simply 'dis' others because they are of any color.

I'm not a white guy, but your BF took the words right out of my mouth. This is really for those white guys that can't and don't identify with the black culture. In other words, the white guys who grew up or went to school in an interracial environment and perhaps have a few black friends are different. However, the average white Joe MOST LIKELY just wants sex.
This isn't new, honey. The white slave masters raped many....many....of the female slaves. Imma leave it at that.

Well............Since slavery White men have been desiring and abusing Black women and other Women of color(as well as their own); so I'd believe your boyfriend. Except that; Today, white men although they may tend to "use" us for sex, it's consentual and there is no "misuse".

Nope, atr least not all of us. I would daye a black/ bi-racial woman if she, like anyother woman, has the qualities I look for in a woman.

I have heard men say that 2 and their explanation to me was...all have a nice "booty" and nice perky breastes and they can dance if ya know what I mean! It is wrong but I think people are just arrogant and ignorant!!!
