I can understand how love can make you feel although, how long have you known this girl? While you may very well be stable (emotionally and mentally) a girl her age probably doesn't cant even imagine the repercussions marrying at such an early age, in modern day society, will have on the rest of her life. Even if the parents consent (which is unlikely) the marriage is most likely to fail. Most adults cant maintain a meaning-full relationship, much less a teenager.

My first response is that she is still a child. She may act mature, and seem to be ready for the "big step", but I really doubt it. She still has at least two years of maturing to do.
My second response is that if you think that the right thing to do is to marry someone that young, then you aren't mature enough either. A 23 year old should know that a 16 year old is not fully mature, physically or mentaly. Read the other responses too for more info.

She is NOW 16? So you were doing the ol' statutory rape thing? Nice. For God's sake, let her grow up before you marry her. If you're going to be together, you'll be together regardless of how long it is. Wait until she is in her mid-20's, otherwise after marriage start putting funds aside for divorce.

Go to Kansas (the state) You can get married as young as 14 there. If you go to the kansas state site I'm sure they will have details on the fees.
I think she is a little young to be married but, I'm not going to judge you, its not my place. YOu should though, try and work in out with her parents. It does not help (trust me) when parents dont agree and get along

my lil sis is 16 and is engaged to a 23 year old and with my parents i never in my life thought that would happen. We saw despite their age they're in love they're good to each other and takes care of each other. He has a great job my parents know he'll take care of her and our whole family know my lil sis is going somewhere. she got him to write our dad a letter of how he felt about her. that was really gutsy. turns out my dad took that as a sign of respect and liked what he said and allowed it only if they were truthful she's about to turn 17 nxt wk theyre gettin married nxt yr so if you love her wait like they were if our dad said no or talk to her dad maybe it will shock you like it did us GOOD LUCK! Respect the parents though if you really love her. until she's of age then do what ya'll need to.

Normal parents wouldn't agree if their daughter's only 16 and getting married. If you really love her. You should wait when she's old enough to get married without her parents' permission. And you have to make sure that you're able to support emotionally, and financially........

Wait it out, there's no need to rush. Marriage is forever. You may meet someone else down the line, you never know. Just see what happens in a few years.

If you're sure shes the gal, you can "court" her, which means that you are "dating to be married".
Wait a couple years to marry, just until the age diference isn't so obvious, and I dont think you're allowed by law until you're 18.
