Grace is a name for any of a number of short prayers said before a meal to bless and give thanks for it, in folk practices of Christianity and other religions. It is probably most often observed when the family is assembled at the dinner table; and also occurs in other communal settings such as summer camps and residential and parochial schools, though it is okay to pray silently or before dining alone. I don't say grace as I am not religious but religious people might.

Yes, most of the time we say grace at home and while we are out. If I forget, my 4 year old will usually remind me.

I say it at home...but when I go out, it is either said before I enter the building ( in the car) or I just say a silent prayer, so I don't attract attention.

Yes, we also join hands as a family in both settings and if others are with us, we ask if they would care to join us - if not, most have politely waited for my husband and I to pray before they eat, which we find to be quite respectful and for the most part, most of join hands with us. We feel that speaks of our commitment to Christ and the respect we give and receive in our relationships.

I don't say grace at all, but my best friend does, at home, and in a restaurant.
She stops, closes her eyes, folds her hands, and prays silently.
If her daughter is there, she (the daughter) says grace aloud.
