orthodontic bracket? yes it can hurt but it needs to be in place to do the job. they glue it back or reattach in some way. ibuprofen should remedy the discomfort. might want to premedicate before you go.

if you're talking about dental braces, it doesn't hurt if they fix it.. they just re-glue it. they put some resin and glue and the attach it to your tooth again. if they change the rubbers around it or the cable that joints all the braces, that's when it hurts.. but u just take a few advils and it will be alright

it's no big deal and common to have a bracket come loose- they just do the same thing they did originally to put it back on. BUT you need to get it done cuz that tooth is not being treated when it's ot attached to the arch wire.

Eh, it really doesn't hurt much, if at all. They just pop it off and attach a new one.

u mean with braces? no it doesn't hurt. sometimes though it can. just to be sure, take some tylenol before your visit.
