Ah, the eternal problem. You need to exercise to lose weight, but because of your weight you don't have the energy to exercise. Here's what I recommend. First, start drinking 8 8oz glasses of water every day and eat a lot of salads. Vegetables will start to give you a "feel good" feeling after a few days. Also, you can still spend time online or watching shows, but make sure that you get up after 20 minutes or so...get a cup of coffee, fold some laundry, etc. Park your car farther away from stores, and do lots of window shopping. Walking is the best starting exercise and window shopping is a great motivator. Get a couple of 1-2 lb weights that you can do arm curls with while you're sitting, also you can do leg lifts while you're sitting. These little changes will get you started on focusing on movement. After a week, try to go for a 15-20 minute walk twice a week, then the week after that, go three times a week. If you go for a 15-20 minute walk 3-4 times a week, plus drink plenty of water and eat vegetables, you just might be surprised at what weight might come off. Look for opportunities to be more active...the more movement, the more calories burn. Good luck!

Hey,
First of all relax ! This problem can be solved .I can speak from a personal angle since i too had faced the same problem .Well i have managed to manintain a steady weight right now & can credit this to : "LIGHT DINNERS " ....Dinners are time that our body really needs to get less since we just relax after eating & ther is no physical exercise till the next day .So i suggest have a soup/fruits/non carb stuff for the nite for atleast say 2-3 weeks & then u can notice the difference .Also try to eat keepin a lil room in ur tummy meanin u do not have to eat till u feel ur overstuffed .Hope this helps ...

I was just like last year. The best thing to do it limit your tv and computer time to a couple of hours a day. Read a book to lessen your depression. get physical. go swimming, take a walk, jump on a trampoline, rollerblade, shoot hoops, etc. If you lessen the tv and computer time, you will probably feel bored but your energy will increase and you will gradually enjoy more excersize. You have to eat, so keep eating, but eat healthy. Instead of reaching for the chips and chocolate, eat fruit or make something healthy.

Soy and Whey protien will help with the weight loss as well as not allowing yourself to turn on the TV or computer until after you have exercised. Treat them as rewards for doing what you set out to do. It is not easy I know, because I have to keep myself from doing it too.
