LOOK AT HOW WE ACT ON HERE . THE GOVERNMENT IS MAKING US A SOCIETY OF ANIMALS INSTEAD OF BRINGING US TOGETHER . GAY RIGHTS, ABORTION, WAR, HIGH GAS PRICES,( THE HIGHEST IN MY TIME) NOW INTEREST RATES UP, CREDIT CARDS JUST SO PEOPLE CAN BUY GROCERIES. WHEN WILL WE TAKE ACTION TO CHANGE THIS AND MAKE GOOD OUT OF IT. WE CAN'T JUST CONTINUE TO THINK WE CAN DROP A BOMB AND BLOW UP A COUNTRY. WE ARE NOT BETTER THAN ANY OF THEM ONLY MORE ADVANCED THAN SOME. WHAT DO YOU FEEL?

I agree. The Government is not working FOR the people, it's working for the rich. There is no middle class. Only the rich, and the working poor. Bush is the worst President in the history of the United States, and his record will speak for itself.

There really is no battle over abortion or energy solutions in this country...anyone who believes otherwise just isn't paying attention. Also, opposing gay "rights" hardly makes Bush a divisive president (according to recent polls, most Americans are opposed to granting homosexuals any of the privileges that heterosexuals enjoy). Furthermore, no rational person can blame Bush for the individual choices of ignorant Americans who don't give a damn about their finances until they discover themselves in a money pit. Lastly, our foreign policy, in regard to Iraq (which is what I gather you're alluding to) has nothing whatsoever to do with anything else you said. Is dragging an unpopular war into your thoughtless tirade simply a juvenile attempt to garner support from people who would otherwise dismiss your sophomoric comments?
Your entire (capitalized, >_>) rant is actually quite ridiculous. Of all the things you choose to call Bush out on, you choose issues over which he has little or no control (or have little to do with dividing the country, for that matter).
Anyway, to answer your question (sorry for having to first sift through all the BS): No, I don't think that Bush ever intended to tear the country apart. However, when you govern a country whose entire political structure consists of corrupt legislators, like ours is, any decision you make is bound to be divisive to the fringe groups that dominate the political scene these days. His incompetence only further exacerbates the problem.

I would take issue with us being more advanced.!
The government needs to be held more accountable for those in office. Once they are in office they could care less what we think unless it will score some political points. And we are divided. We are also probably the most racist, bigoted, homophobic people in the civilized world. We are also the most hateful and violent
Many on here feel that we "are the greatest nation in the world and most powerful". I wouldn't go so far as say either. Great nations lead, not dictate. Great nations cajole, not attack. Great nations are humble and tolerant, not hateful and intolerant.
And are we ever intolerant. and hateful! Many hate anyone who isn't a WASP, hate Mexicans, hate jews, hate the poor (When they made them), hate to pay taxes, hate others views, hate law as it is applied to them, hate blacks and Hispanics. hate liberals, hate anyone who disagrees with them, often resorting to name calling. .And some seem to have a big disregard for those who lost loved ones in the WTC.
No one should be looking at us as a role model. Perhaps it's time for us to find one!
Many countries are way ahead of us in:
Healthcare
Limiting the ability of many CEOs to a percentage above the average worker.
Not allowing breaks given to company and the rich.
They are respectful of their elderly and don't view them with contempt as America does.
We have a lot to fix and the healing won’t start until Bush is gone!
The only plan Bush ever had was to get us into a war with Iraq! He just didn't think he would get a backlash!

Bush is an idiot. His agenda is to do what he is instructed by higher powers, and I don't mean God. The higher power is the new world order his neo-con buddies have planned. It does seem as if they are trying their best to destroy this country, it's freedoms, and kill as many of the rest of the world as they can to further their goals of controlling oil and therefore the world. Was it not convenient, that Bush went back to that old tired and frankly stupid push to make marriage between a woman and a man on the heels of his plummeting approval ratings. Trying to keep the evangelical conservatives on his side. And now they killed this terrorist in Iraq of all places. He was only there after we invaded the country.
Another smokescreen to help his approval ratings for the midterm elections. Honestly, there are so many gullible and just plain stupid people in this country, some would vote for him and the rest of his buddies, who support him no matter what he did. It is amazing how many people watch FOX news and buy everything they say!

Wow Libertarian, I was going to comment but you said it much better than I was going to. I wish more people had the ability to think and not just follow like most people seem to do. If people would just open their eyes and use their brains they wouldn't be taken buy some loud mouth yelling "He betrayed this country" when everyone was saying the same thing about Saddam 6 months prior. I'm just using that as the most annoying one there are so many to choose from.

I totally agree. We are more divided than in any time in history since the Civil War. We are all Americans and a good Pres would unite us, not divide us. What a shame.

His administration gets away with what the public allows. Divide and conquer is one of the oldest rules of warfare. Read "The Art of War". We remain distracted while injustice occurs in the name of the American people and the people applaud him for it.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!! no joke!!!!!! I'm sick of this guy!!! Why doesn't anyone try to get him out of office before he blows up the entire world including us!? The man is the true terrorist, he generates fear in gays, young mothers, people in other countries, poor families, if that isn't a terrorist, then what is?? That guy has MAJOR issues. At least most of us agree on one thing (at least based on polls), HE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wish we could all unite to get rid of him.
