First of all...ignore all that muslim crap. Personnally I believe they should all go leming on the world.

If you believe in Jesus Christ, believe he is the son of God and believe he died on the cross for you, then you are Christian all the way.

If you want to change, you can. Just take it little by little. Maybe start one day deciding to not swear. Focus on that all day every day until you no longer swear. Then move on to the next item you want to change.

You say you are doing almost everything God told us not to do, but you know what it is we aren't suppose to do. That means you've put some dedication to it. Put in a little more and no matter what God will be behind you, He's already behind you.

Maybe start going to church and getting involved with people your age in a small group. A small group will provide you with a bunch of people you can call whenever you need help with anything.

I hope I helped a bit

Don't put too much pressure on yourself about the sins you may think you are committing. I used to be Catholic but recently became an atheist. I can truly tell you that when I made the change, I never felt such a relief. I was able to let go of all the guilt that I placed on myself when I thought I committed a sin.

Now that I don't believe in a higher power, I am able to look at life in a more "free" way. What I do will directly affect the outcome. Praying will not help, but what I do will help.

I'm not sure if that helps you, but if anything it might give you an alternative way of looking at things.

Stay on the course, you're doing okay by having the DESIRE to become a BETTER PERSON. That's a good start since you are also being candid in admitting your flaws and continue to resist the worldly temptations.

Read the Good Book and other sacred scriptures that might be of interest to you. Ask questions from people whom you look up to and determine whether or not they give you satisfactory answers. Use the search engines [Google, Yahoo, etc.] to research on everything you need information on. I wish you the best of luck in your own quest. You go, girl! ...And if you need more info on books later, drop me a line.

Peace be with you!

there will always be things that will test you. but realize that even in the midst of your problems, God definitely has a hand in YOUR life. we as mere humans cannot explain why some people die, but that is for God to know. however, you as a person can only live right and do your best and let God do the rest.

this may help: if you listen to hip hop, look up the song "in due time" by outkast and cee-lo off the soul food soundtrack.

hope this helps

if you believe in God the father almighty maker of heaven and earth and believe in Jesus Christ his only son and our Lord then you are a christian. Please don't listen to those posting from the Koran... If you have a bible i'm going to give you a list of scriptures... please look them up carefully read them and consider what they say... also if you don't have a bible i'll post a website you can use.

You sound young... don't beat your self up sweetie God knows how we act when we are young and he knows how to help us mature. I also want you to know that you aren't doing this on your own. God loves you and He is with you his Holy spirit is with you to help you get through the loss of your father and sister and also to walk triumphantly threw temptation...
If you need to email me I would be more than happy to help you lil sis. here are those scriptures if you have questions about them... i'll help ya out :D

Psalm 40 (it's my fav scripture that's helped me through so much)

Romans 3:23-26
Rom 6:23
rom 5:8
rom 10:8-14-
rom 8:31-39
read especially v38 and 39

also the book of ephesians... I know this is alot... but no worries... Read the psalm one day.. and another the verses in romans... then divide Ephesians up over a week or more. Being able to serve God and obey Him and stand through temptation comes from Knowing Him that comes from reading the Word and praying ... mind you praying isn't just you asking for things
Praying is conversation... you must be able to worship him and ask him for things then listen either for audible things or for him to speak through the bible. He loves you sis and He's with you and He's excited to see your grow in your faith. God bless and keep you!

First you need to stop stressing about it. In your condition I'm afraid you're wide open to fall for anything. You say you believe in God and Jesus and that is a start. Pray for insight and watch for signs that are answers.....the next song you hear, advice or passing words of a friend or stranger, a book or magazine that practically attacks you, a strong sense of intuition, advice of a compassionate pastor, the answers are always given, you just need to recognize them in YOUR OWN MIND, the greatest gift that God gave you. Use it.

You are doing well. You are having a crisis of faith but you are following what you were taught. i suggest pastoral counseling and perhaps you could ask questions of faith at www.bibleinfo.com I too have often wandered and wondered about my sin and how I can find truth. I find that prayer helps. My worst sin is Lust and I am struggling with it. I want to be a good husband and stay away from pornography and the problems it gives me. I pray regularly for help and I think I am finding my path.

I cared for a terminally ill wife for over 13 years married 27 she passed in 2003. I got used to using pictures and stories to hide from the parts of my life that were missing and didnt realize how much they hurt me. but I have found that helping others and praying and filling my time with good works helps me avoid and be honest to myself and otherst.

Good Luck and God Bless!!

Jeanatta, The only way is by accepting Jesus.
The only way to accept Jesus is by first repenting of your sins.

The Bible says in Romans 3:23"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

Ask yourself, have I ever wanted to murder anyone? In God's eyes this is the same as an actual murder. Have I ever lusted, or dwell on someone in certain areas I shouldn't, (Not someone you are married to, but someone you are not)? To God, this is the same as having an affair. Then ask yourself, have I always respected my parents, talk kindly to them, and never argued back to them? Then what about lies? Evel little white lies and half trues are lies. They are meant to decieve others. These are just some examples of sin, and only 4 of the ten commandments.

If you find yourself guilty in these areas, chances are, you will find yourself guilty in all areas.

God can not abide sin. As a result of our sin, we recieve the punishment of death. "For the wages of sin is death" Romans 6:23 a

Once you recognize you have sin, realize that only God can save you.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3: 16-17

God loves you and does not want you to die and go to Hell. Instead he wants to give you eaternal life. "but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23b

That's why He sent Jesus to die upon the cross for you. You see Jesus took our sins so we would not have to pay for the punishment.
And by the way, that punishment, deat,h is in Hell, a place filled with fire, and torment. Once you are there, you are there for eternity.

Ask God to forgive you, and he will. In Romans 10:9-10, it says "9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Repent of your sins and ask God to forgive you. He will.

Pray something like this.

“God, I am a sinner. I don’t deserve your mercy and grace, but you give it anyway. Please forgive me and make me a new person.”

go to www.katgum.com and look for the tab that says are you a good person for more information.

God does not expect perfection. He knows were an imperfect create. That's why Jesus lived the perfect/sinless life and died in your place so that YOUR sin and imperfections were not offensive to God. Continue praying and open your heart completely to God, He loves you more then you'll ever know.
