Nope, the price is all the same: $29.95 each, cash or credit, add 3% for using a credit card. Some have already paid a high price, they went to law school.
What do you call the lawyer who scored the lowest on the bar exam: Your Honor.
As for heinous decisions, how about the religious nut cases that want to kill scientists or secular humanists for Christ sake. That's pretty heinous.
For the most part, judges are serious about wanting to uphold the law and protect the Constitutional rights of all people, not just Christian nut cases who advocate killing for Christ.
Try to improve yourself, study what Jesus said, forget the Christians because if you try to improve yourself they will certainly abandon you.

Not really. The society at large bears the burden of having created a legal system which allows such atrocities, and hence the judge is to 'pay' no more than the hangman doing his job for wages, though painful for taking away someone's life !

Degrees of punishment are hinted at in Matthew 5:22:
""But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of THE JUDGMENT: and whosoever shall say to his brother, 'Raca' shall be in danger of THE COUNCIL: but whosoever shall say 'Thou fool' shall be in danger of GEHENNA FIRE."
We see three increased degrees of consequences: the judgment, the council, and gehenna fire.
God is fair and just. In the end all will be given rewards or punishments according to the deeds (actions, choices, decisions, etc) a person has done. Revelation 20:12-15
