YOu have to be careful when telling a lie, especially when its in a printed document. Hard to get out of. You possibly could stretch the truth, but I wouldnt stretch it too far. No I have never lied on a resume. Im too afraid, however, I have left out certain employers. If thats considered lying then yes I guess i lied.

Sometime I think everyone has omitted answers on resumes, to keep from telling a lie.

Definately!
Just be careful about teh manner in which you are lying.
If it is that you need a reference to a job of experience, then use a good friend. You can state that person was a coworker or even in management or owner.
You could also write down refernces of places that were out of state and went out of buiseness.
Make sure you cover your butt if you do!

I said I didn't commit a crime, but really I got a DUI. I don't know why I lied. They did a background check & found it & I didn't get the job. But I reapplied to the company & got another one a few months later.

Don't lie... bad idea. It is fine to spin the facts to make things sound more impressive than they are, but lies have a way of coming back to haunt you later.

Never. They always find out, and it's usually grounds for immediate dismissal. Better to be honest and let people know you are a hard worker and willing to learn and grow.

it depends on what you put or for that matter did not put I omit employers who I didn't work with for a long time.. because I don't want to work back in that field...CNA..butt wiping but something like education not cool because they can check to see if you really went their...and if you are in same boat as me I tell them just what I told you I don't want to go back to that line of work...
