We may have disguised our feelings due to societal pressures but our basic instinct are still animalish. Man is still similar to the ancient cave man in all his instincts and finding a mate is always on his mind. Since a single woman living alone is the softest target , he feels it might be an easier prey so even the weak amongst men dare to woo her. Its just like the tiger on a prawl who tries to hunt the weakest fowl. They may be wearing an Armani and driving a Ferrarri but deep down there the nature is still the same.

Not all men are like that, it seems that way because that is what your attracting. Broaden your search and start doing things differently, its the lil things you wouldn't think of. Like wearing your hair diff and clothing, you will then attract another breed of men. I'm not condoning what these men "assume" they are going to get from you by the way you look or dress. I'm just saying if this it what it seems then maybe do something to change the "type" of men you are attracting. There are sweet ones out there and no guys that doesn't mean they're gay, geesh. My husband wasn't like that, we dated about a year before marriage and it wasn't all about sex and never was. Just keep looking you'll find out not all men are pigs even though they want to make it seem like they are. Also with these men you invite over be up front and honest of your intentions, remember they are just animals they don't read our minds. They think of sex every 3 min, its up to us to "train" them to do diff :-p .. Good luck in finding the right guy, i say take your time and stress on baby steps don't rush into anything your not 100% fully ready to commit to after all it is your life you have a right to say NO.

When I was single and available --- I had guys who thought I'd let them play house ---- but they found out how wrong they were and once the news got around - none of them bothered me like that again --- most started treating me respectfully and the others moved on.

It doesn't matter if you are single, married, living alone or with roommates. Guys always want to have sex. Most of them EVENTUALLY want more than that though, with the right person, at the right time.

They just think that women in that situation are easy for them to do it with and make a quick get away, no ties for them or anything. I mean, when you don't have a real guy to be around and you're not living with anyone, they think they can just breeze in

There is a notion that a woman is not complete without a man, and that man is just the person to fill the bill.

Simple biology. Not to mention that you are single, living alone, and indescribably luscious! It really isn't rocket science!
