HOLY COW! Idaho has to take the cake. People here drive really fast and will just pull out in front of you. I've had fourteen fender benders here. The last was right before Christmas, we were stopped at a light and got rear ended by a drunk driver.

As someone who drives for a living, you've hit a hot button for me. Here in El Paso, the problem is the convergance of three different driver types: Texans, New Mexicans, Mexicans.
Texans: Usually OK drivers, but everyone drives a huge and unnecessary truck/SUV which they like to flip on the freeways two or three times a day.
New Mexicans: TOO laid back. When wanting to turn off of the street (say, into a parking lot), they'll STOP- COMPLETELY- and then turn into the parking lot at 1 m.p.h.
Mexicans (this is a generalization, but typical). They don't use their signals at all- or maybe they're just broken, since half the time their brake lights don't work either. They don't pay attention to the road signs ("merge" has no meaning to them). Don't use their mirrors (if the car still has any)- and god forbid one hits you (and trust me, you will get hit eventually)- don't count on any insurance on their part. Broken windows. Smoking exhaust... the list goes on. What really bugs me abt this is that they're allowed to just drive on into our country in such vehicles- and I've never seen one getting a ticket. Whereas I (I know this through experience) will get pulled over if my inspection sticker is just a couple days overdue- even though my car is totally legal.
Anyway, done with the rant...for now

Southern California drivers are rude, inconsiderate and all around obnoxious. My experience however, with Oregon drivers has been very pleasant so far. It seems that in the more crowded cities the drivers display less patience and consideration.

New York City is Wild & Crazy [i love it!]
Philly is Tight & Crazy
LA is Dizzy & Crazy [great shopping!]
And... Louisville Kentucky is Retarded!
Worst drivers I've ever seen in my life!
[and don't let anyone hit you! it's a no fault state! you always pay, no matter what!]

i drive in southern cal everyday.
i have family in Arizona so i drive there sometimes.
i hate it because these people can't even get out of their own way.
talk about hicks, drunks and people over the age of 100 driving on the highway. people think driving in so cal is bad it's like heaven to me because you know what the other drivers are going to do before they do it.
