Exercise is never a waste of time. However, you may want to do some more research if you feel you are not getting the results you want. For instance, if you like how you look and feel, then keep it up and don't change a thing. However, keep in mind, that it usually takes about twenty minutes to get your heartrate to a level where you're doing "real" exercise. If you think you need to lose more weight, then obviously you need to do something else. There are a lot of exercises, aerobic and anaerobic that help target certain areas of your body. If you want a tighter booty or nicer abs, then you're going to have to look those things up. But again, 20 minutes of exercise is never a waste of time. In fact, I'd recommend doing 20 minutes everyday instead of every other day, because that way, it will be easier for you to maintain the routine. For example, if you don't do the exercise one day, you notice it, and things feel different. If you do exercise every other day, you're more likely to just put exercise off for another day until sooner or later, you're not doing any exercise. So anyway, the type of work out you do just depends on your goals. The higher the goal, the longer the workouts. Also, you may want to take a look at your diet. Good luck!

It would be better to do longer workouts, fewer times a week (FOR THE PURPOSE OF LOSING WEIGHT). I f you're just working out to be healthy, YOU GO GIRL! But to lose weight ad to get you heart rate up you really need more than 20 mins. Maybe a few minutes of warmup (like 3-5) and then a high momentum workout, and then some cool out stretches would work better. But 20 mins is great just to do. Remember you also need to change it up every now and again so your body does 'nt get used to the workout, then it is almost useless.

Any kind of movement or exercises is good, and I think the criteria with aerobics is getting your heart-rate up beyond a certain point. If you are reaching that target rate then you are doing OK and you are certainly better off than most people by doing 20 minutes a day, so keep on doing what you are doing and you will see results. And doing it everyday is also a very positive and motivating experience and it will help you to feel better all around!!!!! Rock On !!!!!

You're not wasting your time, but it WOULD be better to do more exercise less frequently. A major part of cardiovascular exercise is the length of time that you're working your heart. It has been shown that your workout should be at the strenuous level for more than twenty minutes, for maximum benefit. So first you warm up, then you work out HARD for at least twenty minutes, then you cool down. Total time, about forty minutes.

No you are not wasting your time. keep it up, and eventually you'll be doing more without even thinking about it. I don't suggest skipping days...it's better to be in the habit of moving daily, then you can add a few minutes at a time....working up to 45-60 minutes a day. This is healthy. Our bodies are built to move regularly. You're creating a great habit!! Keep it up!!

No you're not, any amount of exercise is a good thing. The more you do them the better you'll get and you may be increasing that 20 minutes a day in no time. Good for you.

no. why is 20 min. of aerobics taking time from you saving the world or something? it's actually good that you have your mind set on that, instead of bad things. besides it's your body and you wanna look good.

No, any exercise you do is advantageous. 40 minutes a day would be better, but experts say that you can break that up in ten minute intervals and it is just as effective, just as long as you are raising your heart rate.
