Some women can lose weight while breastfeeding, because you use up more calories when you breast feed. I wasn't so lucky though, and it still took me 6 months AFTER i stopped breastfeeding to lose my weight. But each person is different, and every person's body responds differently to extra calories being burned, hormones, and other changes taking place in your body throughout the next year after your baby is born. It takes quite a bit of time to completely heal even though some people's body looks like their pre-baby weight faster.
Lucky you though!!!

Breastfeeding helps you lose weight. First, it makes your uterus go back to normal much quicker, and second, it burns ALOT of calories. It's a great way to lose weight and give a baby a good start in life.

Believe it or not, if you're not overeating, the act of breastfeeding automatically causes weight loss. Lactation burns an enormous amount of calories. The only thing you have to do is eat sensibly and exercise - I would suggest walking (briskly) daily for at least 20 minutes. You don't have to diet. Hope this helps.

Breastfeeding will help you maintain your weight..Which can help with your weight. Exercise, and eating a good balance meal. However, it will be best you consult with your Dr. to see if it's alright to and to make sure you are getting enough nutrients while breastfeeding your baby.

Breastfeeding consultants say never to go on a diet while nursing because the big reason is your milk supply will diminish. Weight loss should be very gradual. Go onto La Leche to see how many calories you should have a day.

Breastfeeding helps you lose the weight itself. But if you are going to try to diet, take your vitamins and eat healthy food. No diet pills. Exercise.

no.
It isn't good for your baby when you try to loose some weight while your breast feeding.I also wanted to do this ( loose weight while i was breastfeeding) but my doctor advised me not to do , because all the fat you loose will go straight into your milk and your baby drink it, and this fat will be stored in your babies body

yeah, just as long as you are eating healthy to lose weight while breastfeeding then your fine. Just ask your doctor for prenatal vitamins if you don't have any, take them and you're good to go.

No you need the nutrition to make the milk for your baby, wait until that is done with before you start to try losing weight.
