it will flatten. the shape will be irregular, no longer exactly round. usually it becomes about the diameter of a quarter, and some of the edges may be sharp. it also will loses its value of 1cent.

It gets very very flat....however, I wouldn't do this because it can cause serious injury to people around because sometimes these coins shoot out from under the wheels and can cause serious harm. If you want a flat penny, there are machines that can do this for you.
