it will flatten. the shape will be irregular, no longer exactly round. usually it becomes about the diameter of a quarter, and some of the edges may be sharp. it also will loses its value of 1cent.

The train flattens out the penny somewhat and distorts the markings. You probably won't be able to spend it afterwards...

It gets very very flat....however, I wouldn't do this because it can cause serious injury to people around because sometimes these coins shoot out from under the wheels and can cause serious harm. If you want a flat penny, there are machines that can do this for you.
