IT IS CALLED WAR!!! Get the big picture - Saddam gone, women not beaten & raped for what male family members did, women allowed education, hundreds of thousands of people no longer being slaughtered by Saddam, women not forced to wear burmas ( long black completely covering), 1st democratic vote taken, & etc. We have done lots of good just given little credit for it by liberals.

Go back & read all of Jefferson's speech, he did not mean personal safety - he meant if safety as a nation is not worth our freedom as a nation, not as individuals. Liberals see everything as me, me , me - my safety, my freedom, my country's freedom - forget everyone else. We are part of a big world & must help defend other nations or our freedom will not be deserved.

To tell you the truth - this whole war in Iraq i'm not sure of, but now that Al- Zarkawi is dead, this is what we have been waiting for- Saddam was taken out of power, the next one was killed- now by some much needed miracle - we have to find Ben Ladin and kill him thru torture for him to tell us what was going to happen and those others who are involved in building terroist camps anywhere in the world, and he has to show how everything that occured was done by him and people who he hired and explain to the world why in Heaven's name he would do such a thing - to terroize the world and kill thousands of people, and then run into hiding like a rat.... We are fighting this war for our freedom- there's no draft to the army, we're not fighting because we're being forced to- the people that are there now,
Men, & women, Young & Old, are risking thier lives for obviuosly
something worth fighting.... otherwise why would anyone in their right mind decide to fight this "crazy" war???? There is a reason for everything that happens in this world- and only GD- noone,
not even President Bush- can understand why these things are happening! Obviously, Gd put down on earth the right man to help us get thru this, because if President Bush hadn't been the right man- GD could have put someone else down in his position!
Gd has His reasons for everything He does in this world- and it's all part of His "Master Plan" to bring the world to enternity and peace... once and for all.... Noone can really understand why this war is happening, but one thing is for sure- that like Bush says all the time, Better There in IraQ, Then Here in Our HomeLand.....
Now aint that right?

We are not over there fighting for our freedom. And we are not over there fighting against "our" terrorist. The Iraqi's did not fly planes into to our buildings. And they keep on killing the people over there fighting for THEIR freedom so to say we are fighting for their freedom it doesn't seem like they want to be free. My opion is we are over there for a personal vendeta and for oil reserves. Don't get me wrong Sadam is a horrible person and he deserves everything that is coming to him. But they were killing there own people and even if he had nuclear bombs they would beable to reach us. Why do we seem to think that we should put our noses in everyone elses bussiness? Unfortunatly the men and women over there are losing their lifes because it is their job and if the refuse to go the can go to federal prison for 7 years. I have a friend who came back from Iraq and he does not believe in this war and he does not support Bush at all but he said that it was his job and he had to go weither not he wanted to. And for Bush supporters I love living in America, I love my freedom(whatever we have left after Bush is done), I support my troops this isn't their chose it is Bush's, and I do not think that terrorist are good people if they are caught they should get what they have given. And if we are fighting terrorist then were the HELL is Bin Ladin? It has been 5 years now and we still don't have him. Because we did not start looking for him first.

So that some corporations can make more money. To anyone who answers with some BS about Freedom. Not one ounce of freedom was ever taken away from us by Iraq, a poor, second-world country with barely enough military power to keep hold of its borders.

If you want to really conciser what costs us our freedom, read the Patriot Act, all of it, not just a summery. As Thomas Jefferson once said "He who gives up his freedom for safety deserves neither".

To the person above me: How how how are they protecting MY freedom? You have just been "b ought off" by the propaganda machine. We went to war supposedly because Iraq had "weapons of mass destruction." Of course, they didn't. Then we decided to topple Saddam. Why? He wasn't the only sh_t in the world running a country. (It's just that he wasn't OUR sh_t.) Then it was: "let's turn this country into a democracy", no matter what the people there might want. And now its PROTECTING OUR FREEDOM???????

Give me a break!

It's called "FREEDOM" from cruel dictators....

They are helping the people of those 2 countries have a better life....building schools, hospitals, clinics, supplying them & training the people there to do for their own people....building bridges, roads (real ones),stores, power grids..and showing them how to maintain them ...
The media always shows the one or 2 bad things..over & over....using a microscope to examine every bit of it..
Go to see what the troops have on there for pictures & what little basic needs they are asking people to send...mostly letters, soap, snacks (as many go on missions, come in late & don't get to eat at the mess halls),toothpaste, tooth brushes...maybe some powdered drink mix to change the taste of the water... some get to sleep in a wooden hut 12'x12' with 8 people in each..one or 2 have a microwave.... most say they have a place to do laundry & 110volt electricty...what people send them, they share with everyone ,including the people who live there....

Well as a Navy brat, someone who used to in the Navy, and a Marine wife, I can tell you with completely confidence that they are dying for you. These heroic Americans are dying to protect your right to worship Allah, God, the devil, whoever you want. They are dying so you can say you don't like your President, so your daughter can go to college and have a job. So she can walk down the street without having to cover her face. They are dying for freedom!
