Clean it up, of course! It's normal - pobably just a hairball. If the problem continues then buy different food specifically for Hairball Management. Nutro has some great cat food that minimizes the vomiting.

Your cat maybe trying to tell you something !

1. It may simply not like the brand of food or it may have eaten something else and this is what is causing your cat to become ill.

2. Keep an eye on your cat and make sure there is always fresh water near its food.

3. If you're going to include moist cat food (do not mix this with the dry food)

4. If the problem persists contact your veterinarian, you may also want to contact your pet store for more information on pet foods.

It could have been a fur ball. Was there hair in the vomit? If so, it is natural. If the cat has long hair, he'll need frequent brushing to keep the loose hair at a minimum, so when he cleans himself he won't digest so much hair, and won't throw up as many fur balls. My cat and I bond very, very often by my brushing her...we both enjoy it.

Or, if the cat is allowed outdoors, he could have eaten some grass to cause himself to vomit. Cats, dogs, and other animals perform this type of self-medication often.

If it happens just once in a blue moon, don't worry about it.

Also, if he is an adult cat, my vet has always recommended Iams cat food....you can buy it at the grocery store.

In my experience, cats are very particular about changes in their diet. Anytime we've changed our cat's food, we've had the same thing happen. She soon would settle down and be OK with the new food.

Try not to change food brands too often.

If he keeps doing this for several more days, then you might have a problem. Your cat might have a hairball stuck - or something else. Keep lots of fresh water handy for your cat to drink and monitor his food intake (ugh ... and out put). If it's not better in a couple days - call a vet!

If this is the first time the cat vomited than don't worry just clean up the mess and don't worry. If the problem persist try changing the food to either another brand of dry food or give em moist food. Only at that time if it continues than take em to the vet.

clean it up, it might eat it if you leave it there. What did it do prior to puking? Some times they ralph because they were hacking up a fur ball, or hacking because they have an allergy. Sometimes they have worms - so take a good look at the deposit and rule that one out. And sometimes they are such little piggies they gobble it up too fast and that happens.

The cat that lives upstairs isn't supposed to eat dry food - only wet. But it's a spoiled brat and refuses to eat at all until it's owner (spineless slave to the kitty) gives it treats and a handful of dry food.

This is pretty normal for a cat to do. He/she may also have hairballs. You may give it a few days. If the cat is still throwing up, then try a different food or call your vet and make sure that there is not some other problem. I would not be alarmed unless it continues to happen.

Some cats have problem digesting certain commercial brand food. Go to Petsmart or somewhere and get better quality food with protein. Some are designed for sensitive stomach. In a long run, cats will be healthier and you save money on vets visit. Also, canned foods are good for them for it contains liquid. I learned these only after one of my cat became diabetic. It's no fun.

It could be a few things. It may just be nervous and scared. It may have a hairball. Put some Vaseline on it`s paw. It will lick it off willingly... That Will help it pass the hairball. Also a new brand of food can sometimes upset their stomach.. All cats throw up from time to time. If it does it repeatedly or doesn`t want to eat. You need to find a vet.. Good luck with your new baby.. God bless {:-)
