I feel our president is on track with Iraq. It's a touch and go situation right now but from what I have seen and read I feel we are on track. If it were possible I would like to see Iraqi troops and police taking over more responsibility of there country and maybe help them more than we have to accomplish this goal. We know they want there freedom, are willing to die for it and hope we can help them achieve there goals. So other than that there is not much I would or would try to change. I have faith in our military and our president's actions.

Good question.

This is my 5th try - I keep getting bumped off the site - I do not think they agree with me

Stay the course. Send more troops & better equipment to help the troops fight the better fight. Get money from pork barrel fund - let Senators & Congressmen find another way to pay for unneccessary teapot museums, golf courses, roads to nowhere.

Hit them fast, hard & come home. Money from Congress will make this happen. Budget wars take longer to fight.

Iran would know we do not mind a glassy surface where they are, before we will allow attack on Isreal or any other country.
Their safety & freedom is our safety & freedom. We do not believe that they just want nuclear capabilties - their President is a madman. Every speech gets more defiant & crazy.

I would put more emphasis on getting the Iraqi army and police forces trained, and ready to deploy. I would also focus more on security than on offensive operations. Clear an area, then secure it, so we're not going back to clear out the same place we cleared a month ago. I would rotate units on a 6 month basis, as opposed to the current one year, and I would utilize both Sapper teams and Snipers more. That would, in turn, create a psychological weapon. Nothing scares people more than an invisible enemy. Beyond that, I would maintain greater pressure on the enemy, in terms of both manpower, and time. To win this war, we must break the enemy's spirit, their will to fight. How do we do that? With unrelenting power. Do not give them a chance to rest, resupply, or regroup. I would make better use of both air power, and Naval assets.
