Basically a ghetto is a complex where seperate groups of people (normally a race of people) live from the rest of the population either by choice of force. Normally the ghetto is underpoverished and do not have the proper facilities for a healthy standard of living. Not a place you want to be. Today ghetto is the slang for neighborhood, mostly poor neighboorhoods.
