take you dog to the ocean and dunk it in the water-if you live near one. if you don't live near the beach, I suggest a great flea bath and then a twice-a -day garlic tablet for him if you smell a faint garlic breath than that is correct dose. Fleas hate garlic and will run screaming from it! there is another product called SEVEN that you can get from the garden center that can be used to dust your dog. One time a year works well. Next you must use BORAX in your carpets and on his bedding. Grind it heavily into the carpet and then don't vaccum for one week Borax won't harm your animals or you. Good Luck!

Frontline is a great product, but it does not repel fleas. They bite your dog and then they die.
It sounds like you have an infestation of fleas. You will never get control unless you treat your house, your yard and your pet. Don't see fleas in the house? Trust me, they are there. You need to either call an exterminator or use a product with an insect growth regulator. Treat the house now and repeat it in three weeks. If you don't repeat it in three weeks, you are wasting your time and your money.
Also stop you your vet and pick up a Capstar Tablet. It kills fleas very quickly, but doesn't last very long.

There are several things that you need to do. Take the dog to the vet and get a starter pill that will kill all the fleas within 8 hours. Then you need to get your dog flea dipped. After the dog is flea dipped then you need to apply frontline. There you have it for the dog now lets talk about your house. Vacuum out your entire house. You may want to flea bomb the house. Wash all bedding and dog bedding. Fleas and their larvae reproduce in a quick fashion so you need to grab this problem by the horn.

Take your dog to a vet. The vet will issue a prescription for the necessary flea killer for your type of dog. Pet Smart or one of the other big outfits usually have a vet on hand.
Same thing happened to a lil Yorky I had some years back. Usually gets rid of the fleas in acouple of days. Make sure you take precautions to de-flea your home also or they'll come right back. For some reason small dogs are suseptiable for picking up fleas worse then others.

Flea collors aren't really all that good of an idea because they can be toxic to the pet for exposure over long periods of times accumulates. Try to give your dog Brewyers Yeast, with garlic. You can buy it at almost any pet place. Also some people use garlic powder. They place this along the dogs back and rub it in. Yes, your pet will smell like garlic for a while, but it fades in about 2 or 3 hours. However, I'd watch for any side effects that may cause. I use it on my dog, and she has completely stopped all her itches and has no fleas. Try looking in most Home Remedie books. They usually have good information and cheaper means to get rid of fleas.

You probably will have to dip your dog with a flea shampoo, also ask your vet for a roll-on flea deterant with oatmeal in it. Your dog prabably has a nest somewhere on it. Make sure you get your dogs head good, because the fleas will travel up there to escape. They also have a new shot for fleas to. Try Baking soda and salt on your floors and corners of your house, the salt attracts the fleas.they feed on the baking soda and blow up. You have to leave this on overnight.. Also, Do you have a cat? All fleas are cat fleas, its just that dogs get them to. Also treat your pets bedding, and anywhere else your dog may go. You may have to bomb your house.

ask him what else you can do because the frontline isn't working they might have to do a flea bath and then you would have to bomb your house for fleas because your house will have flies in there to or get another vets opinion
