loosestrife is just what it sounds like an herb thet relaxes you..Dry flowers and leaves ..makes a tea. Becareful where you pick it because it is a natural filter of the wetlands and detoxes our waters..they could be loaded with pollution

To my knowledge, it is not edible.

It is not "natural." It is a highly invasive weed that is fast destroying our wetlands. You may want to be cautious as people may spray the plant with herbicides and you will not be able to see the effects for several days to weeks.
