Suffer.

Usually, I try to wear more sunscreen that usual or evade going outside at all. Also, I use a cream called Noxcema (I'm not sure if that's how it's spelled). Sunburn is indeed unpleasant.

Cool tepid bath, and then a sunburn cream that has aloe in it(you can get these at walmart) as long as it is first degree sunburn, if you have little water blisters it is second degree and a cool bath will help, but you need to let the skin breath so don't put too much lotion on, and if it is third degree you would know it and you would need to see a doctor. I also use Tylenol or ibuprofen for the pain. SUNSCREEN next time, good luck hope it feels better!!!!

I was sunburned so bad once that I couldn't walk because the skin on my calves tighted to much. I literally had to tip-toe around until the skin stretched enough that I could walk regularly.
I used a blue sunburn gel from a pharmacy that had Lidocaine in it. It worked fantastic. I had tried everything else...sprays, aloe vera and they didn't work well. The spray was a waste of money.

Put noxzema on it. It will cool the burn and prevent peeling. Also if you are NOT allergic to aspirin-take two with a large glass of water. The anti-inflammatory properties in the aspirin will help you feel better and reduce the inflammation due to the sunburn. The water is for dehydration which can happen with any type of burn.

Sucks!

I have tried several things and it depends on the pain as to just how far you'll go...
*boil teabags and let them cool, soak a soft tshirt or towel and place over sunburned areas
*put vinegar in your bath water
*lots of fluids and aspirin
*baby powder on your sheets will help you rest
*Aloe w/ lanocaine or solarcaine
Good Luck... Feel Better Soon...

Aloe Vera

If it is first degree then aloe or a vinegar and water spray will help the burn..if it is second degree (blisters) be careful to watch for infection (redness draining yellow, pain)..don't bust the blisters let them open on their own...if this burn is extensive (large area) then you may need to seek medical care...don't put any kind of butter or oil on it...(old wives tale) it doesn't work and contains salt which increases the pain...

I put aloe vera on it, and then I dip a small towel in icy cold water and lay it over the burn.
