Get one only for emergencies or don't get one at all. The debt thing in america is out of control.

First Premier has a card for poor credit that is pretty easy to get. It only has a $300 balance and they charge a participation fee. You might also want to check out Orchard Bank. Their limit is higher and I don't believe they have the fee.
