to hear adults talk about a tree of knowledge, about a talking snake, about an ark that saved all the animals on the planet, about a guy walking on water, water turning into fish, a virgin-mama, etc like it's something that really happened??
i mean, when kids reads sweet stories and completely miss the metaphores, it always strikes me as sweet. i never realized that when adults do the same it really feels like something completely cute to me.

It may be cute to talk about, but I remember reading a book on the bible with pictures, and it sacred the living be-jesus out of me.
That burning bush and deep voices out of the sky. I had nightmares for weeks and was afraid to go to bed at night with the lights out for fear that I would hear this grand voice! After all look what God let his own son go through, and our parents are suppose to protect us?
