For shopping-try a store called Torrid-they sell large size "girly" teen-type clothing. My daughter-in-law is 5'3" 220 lbs and shops there. I have nothing to add to the other answers wonderful suggustions for diet and exercise. Good Luck and God Bless.

Start going for walks with her, take her swimming, bike riding, play tennis, anything that will be fun but get her moving....invite her for dinner and serve good tasting healthy foods so that she can see "good tasting" doesn't have to mean "fattening" be supportive and not critical...she probably already gets enough criticism from her peers. As for clothing....they have plus size women's stores....fashion bug usually has a good assortment of stylish clothing for plus size. Good Luck.....

well does she know she i s obese i sure hope so well start with small things like eating healthier snacks thats where most kids like myself get most of their fat for moral support just tell her to ignore the kids at skool and tell her to believe that she can lose weight see if u can compromise about clothes im pretty sure there r plus sizes in womens and if that is too small then i am sure there r girly looking mens clothes

take her to a fitness class and when she gets done, you participate too, then at the end of the week go for a manicure or pedicure after the class or a walk that ends in a low-fat, low-cal snack or manicures or something she wants to do.

next time don't take her shopping, take her swimming or to play a game of softball or rollerblading. it will be fun for her and she will be exercising without even realizing it!!
