It's my office colleague (my sister's bf). I swear i didn't pay attention to what he has worn since i was so busy managing drivers and confirming with airport officers with the important guest's arrival.

I was already in my room, ready to get a good sleep after that tiring day. One manager called me and complained about that. He said he felt so embarrased with what my sister bf wore (later on i just realized why the manager didn't offer us to join them in the courtesy dinner)

Rubber slippery is a type of slippery that we usually wear to go to toilet or kitchen, most of the time in our own house.

It's him and I who are in charge of picking the guest up from the airport.

Quite clearly this wasn't someone important for him.

Let me make you this question: Would you wear rubber slippery when picking someone important FOR YOU in the airport, such as the guy you like the most, your boyfriend's parents or your boss?

And yes, that's why he wasn't invited to the courtesy dinner.

Was it his job to pick the person up, or did he do it as a favor.

If it was his job, he should not have been wearing rubber slippers (you from Hawai`i?). If he was just doing it to help out, then he can wear whatever he wants.

you might need to explain what a 'rubber slippery' is before you gat a decent answer, and if it's what i think it is, that it's rude to even wear it to an air port...
