Of course not! So many military families have to be on WIC that they have offices on base housing. Most of us, live paycheck to paycheck. My husband and I can't even afford to buy me glasses! The jobs we do in the military, we can get paid about 5 times as much in the civilian world. We don't do it for money though. We do it because we love this country and we want our children to know freedom.

A E-1 with LESS than four months gets paid $1,178.10 a month. Now if you have more than $178 a month taken out in taxes something is wrong. You need check your W4 form (or is a W2).
An E1 with less than two years gets paid $1,273.50 and there's no way a soldier with no dependents is going to have over $273 taken out in taxes.
Do soldiers get paid what they're worth? Heck no. As a soon-to-be-retired E-7(P) I know I've seen WAY to many enlisted soldiers do an officers job. The Army is getting their pound of flesh from these guys. They should get paid a lot more. By the same token, does ANYONE ever believe they're getting paid what they are worth?

NO, we are sending are men and women to different parts of the world to up hold what our government thinks every could should be like and then the people take it out on the men and women of the US. Now our men and women are attack everyday and millions of innonce people are also being killed because of this and our Government will not pay them very well, yea they pick up for being in war zones, but didn't President Bush say the war was over, and now we have lost to many service people.

Actually, if they are not "over there", then yes, I do. I know quite a few of these guys through my ex-boyfriend. But for the guys who ARE over there, they'll never be paid enough. I hope that's not why they took the job in the first place.

I don't think they get paid nearly enough, but what's worse is how they are treated if they need other types of support beyond pay. Those needs come up short after they aren't needed anymore.

Oh, hell no. If they paid enlisted people what they were worth, this country would be bankrupt in a week.

The military pay system for all members are not up to par in my opinion. It is up to congress to vote for all pay and incentives for military member. My real question is WHO VOTES FOR CONGRESSESS PAY AND INCENTIVES.... I Rest my case!

Not at all, nor do I think they should have to pay for travel to SOI or MOS stations after boot camp, their uniforms, etc. It is ridiculous for their sacrifice for us.
