Several verses encourage people to stay away from alcohol (Leviticus 10:9; Numbers 6:3; Deuteronomy 14:26; 29:6; Judges 13:4,7,14; 1 Samuel 1:15; Proverbs 20:1; 31:4,6; Isaiah 5:11,22; 24:9; 28:7; 29:9; 56:12; Micah 2:11; Luke 1:15). However, Scripture does not necessarily forbid a Christian from drinking beer, wine, or any other drink containing alcohol. Christians are commanded to avoid drunkenness (Ephesians 5:18). The Bible condemns drunkenness and its effects (Proverbs 23:29-35). Christians are also commanded to not allow their bodies to be “mastered” by anything (1 Corinthians 6:12; 2 Peter 2:19). Scripture also forbids a Christian from doing anything that might offend other Christians or might encourage them to sin against their conscience (1 Corinthians 8:9-13). In light of these principles, it would be extremely difficult for any Christian to say they are drinking alcohol to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).

No. It's not healthy, but not a sin. Some religions don't focus on drinking, but some think that even taking a drop is a sin. You just need to do what's right for you and be responsible. It's a sin, to me, to get drunk and then drive (for example)

If you are religious, then I don't think it's really a sin to get drunk, however probably not looked upon as a class act by other members of yoiur church.
I'd worry about what you do as a result of being drunk. You know, drive drunk and kill someone, etc.
Some may say it's a sin, but it's really up to you and your belief system.

Yes Christians are stupid. Jesus drank wine. Infact he drank wine mixed with gall (opium). But then again he denounced organized religion and profiteering from spirituality. If he came back to earth he would be disguisted at how churches have made people so lame that they must ask the church about every life choice. He would definately send all American christians into the firepits, along with the pope and vegans.Smoking weed is definately better if you don't want to piss god off.

Definitely not a sin. I believe there are many a preacher, pastor, etc that are alcoholics. If they can get drunk all the time then I am sure it's not a sin.

technically I don't know because I don't know the full list of behaviors
that have been deemed sin by whomever. But getting drunk is
detrimental to your being. Isn't this what's most important?

It's a sin to lose control over your actions, or to give yourself an excuse for seeming to be out of control. You giving up reason, which is our God-like quality, or you are faking it to do something you know is wrong, which is even worse.

Depends on which sect/denomination you ask.
Some sects/denominations think that playing monopoly is a sin cause there are dice involved.
Aren't those Christians the stupidest people?

You may be asking the wrong person here. In my opinion the only sin is hurting others (hurting yourself isn't a sin just stupid).
