does 5mg/500mg vicodin contain asprin?

my father in law had a heart attack 5 years ago and the doctors are giving him vicodin. he was told by the same doctor that he was not to take any asprin. this is why i need to know asap, if vicodin contains asprin. thank you for your time and please get back to me asap.

no; it contains synthetic codeine & tylenol. You're safe.

No asprin but does contain Tylenol
