Itsounds like either an anal gland abscess that has ruptured or a prolapsed anus.Either way your pet needs medical attention you cannot give at home.

Its an anal sack that needs lancing. Take your dog to a vet, or if you feel really brave and can stand horiffic odor, you can do it yourself (but I still recommend a vet doing it).

actually, when a dog goes to a vet for a check up they squeeze pimples that dogs have in their butt. Maybe it's that.

yes, it is possible for dogs to get roids. if the dog is scratching and picking at it, or even if it isn't you should take him/her to the vet,
