Yes I do!! Jews are required to give 10% of all the money that they earned to charity. (its called "Maaser" in hebrew) The charity does not have to go to the synoguuge, it can go to any needy person or cause. And G-d blessed those of us who give charity that it is not lost money. We will actually get back the money many times over.

Jews are big believers in helping others. It even says in Pirkei Avos that the world stands on three things: Torha, Avodah (seving G-d) and Gemilas Chasadim = helping others. It is one of the pillars that holds together the world. Without it it wouldnt be able to survive!

Most definitely but not in the same sense as you might think. Before Christians ever started the practice, which was used to take care of the early preachers and evangelist and to start funding the church, Jews gave tithes and offerings of the first-fruits and the best of what they had. The Tithe in the Jewish nation was also a tax upon the people and was used to run the Country however the offerings of a tenth was given when Israel would conquer a land or people they would bring back the spoils. A tenth of the best of the spoils were set aside for God who went before them into the battle and blessed them.

Christians have kept the tithe and even though they say 10% in truth the gifts to God are not limited to the 10% but can be greater. The tenth comes from those battles that were won. Actual support of the Jewish religion which was the government meant that the average Jewish family, even of Jesus day, gave more than 10% to the church or in that day the synagogue and priest.

A tithe (from Old English teogotha "tenth") is a one-tenth part of something, paid as a voluntary contribution or as a tax or levy, usually to support a Jewish or Christian religious organization. Today, tithes (or tithing) are normally voluntary and paid in cash, checks, or stocks, whereas historically tithes could be paid in kind, such as agricultural products. There are still European countries today that allow some churches to assess a mandatory tithe which is enforced by law.

The Jew should give a tithe because they think that they are still under the law of Moses and only OT book apply to them. Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Under Grace the Christian is not under the law and God never require the Christian to give a tithe. Today we have freedom to give what ever we wish. Never out of necessity and not grudgingly. 2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. If you give because your pastor told you that you had to give a tithe then you are still under the law. Romans 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
