Without a warrant or somekind of exigent circumstance, such as someone calling for help, the police cannot enter your home unless you invite them. She can call the cops for your children being too loud all she wants, the only thing they will do is ask you to keep it down, if they even show up. These calls are classified as nuisance calls and if she makes too many of them, she is the one that will be in trouble. good luck and move if you can. she's gonna try to make your life hell.

No you don't have to answer the door, but if it was me and the cops came knocking, I would, especially if there is nothing to hide. This will also give you a chance to give the cops a little heads up on the harassment she is doing (and it IS harassment) so let her call CPS, like the person before said, if she calls the cops and cps too much, she will be the one who gets in trouble, so my advice is to let this nutcase dig her own grave!

Only way they come into your house:
1.You invite them
2.They can run into your house if they are chasing you
3.Probable cause: like heard shots inside the home
4.Warrant
Anything outside the reasons above the police is wrong

I heard if some one calls for false accusations they can go to jail and or get a fine. But no you don't have to let anyone in your home unless they have a warrant. I remember one time my brother called CPS on our sister and the case worker came out one time and seen the child wasn't being abused and just left and never came back. People can be idiots,I know people who call CPS on others just cause they're mad at the parent and think they're going to get back at the parent by calling CPS, but if the child is taken it hurts the child more then the parent. SO many people call CPS just because they're mad at somebody, it's stupid!
