Before we incarnate into this life, on the "other-side" if you will, while we are still non-physical entities or spirits, we actually choose to experience this human life.

A human life on earth is so difficult that it expediates the evolution of our souls. You know how when you're a kid and you say to your parents in a pout, "I didn't choose to be born." Wrong! We all chose to come here. We chose who we would be and the parents and friends and family and all those we have contact with, as well as our major life experiences and issues.

The really ironic part of this is that when we "die" (this physical incarnation ends) and we go back to the non-physical state, we can actually choose to come back and do it all over again. We can come back in either another life form or in this same life form, over and over again. Hence, deja vu.

To offer the gift of life to a 'created' humanity in the Creators 'image' was considered by our Creators to be the ultimate challenge. It was their final challenge after having spent a substantial period of time creating everything else. Their final goal was to leave behind a sentient being capable of appreciating and enjoying the 'fruits' of their labor.
Incidentally, the first successful human prototype happened to be given the name of 'Adam'.

I suggest reading "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. It is a wonderful book that really does give you the purpose for your own life... the purpose that God intended when he created you.

Because it is a meaningless existence that was formed randomly from meaningless chemicals in an amorphic, meaningless universe that has no standards or truth.

Nah, just kidding ; )
