I haven't seen the movie, I'm Christian. Guess I'm not interested because of the way Christ is portrayed. He is not like a normal, every day person, an average Joe, a movie star, or like you or me, He is Jesus. It's one thing to make a story up about Brad Pitt, and put it on the big screen, it's another to publish something untrue about Jesus, who is God.
Nobody has any boundaries any more, and that's not good. Nobody hardly has respect any more, and this isn't good. Used to be, some things were still sacred, but not any more, and this is not good either.
In the movie and the book Jesus is portrayed as something that He is not, guess I don't like that personally. I find it interesting that people will take even God now, and mock and lie about Him. Our society is not doing well, and this is not good.
Interesting things start happening to a society that leaves God out of things and mocks Him. When good is taken out of a society, only the bad remains, guess what that is like?
I can hardly wait when He finally shows Himself and everyone falls on their face before Him, gee you think people will be surprised?

I am not Catholic. I have read the book, and I thought it was full of amazing POSSIBILITIES.
It presented a whole other way of looking at things. So what if Jesus married and had a family? Does that make Him less of the Son of God? He was born into this life to live as a human for a time. What is more human that to fall in love and marry and have children?

I saw the movie. To me, it's just more proof that unbiased info is almost impossible to come by. We simply live in a world that is too biased to tolerate much truth. I say this, even though I know the book was written, by the author, under the heading of fiction.
A CASE IN POINT (about "truth"):
There was a famous case in the 90's you might remember. A youth from Dayton, Ohio, Michael Fay, was arrested in Singapore for vandalism. His punishment was to be "caned." That basically means that he would be spanked with a bamboo rattan cain.
The media painted a picture of this punishment as severe torture that could, LITERALLY, kill a horse. It supposedly left permanent scars, caused the victim to go in shock, and make sitting down impossible afterward.
Recently, my professor who comes from overseas, told us that she, like most children where she comes from, were all cained a number of times growing up. Usually for things like not doing an assignment or going late to class. She was quite clear that the media picture I described was grossly exaggerated. In effect, the entire American public was given and inaccurate picture AND THEREFORE, BELIEVES IT.
YES! EVEN THE BIBLE ITSELF HAS BEEN CHANGED NUMBEROUS TIMES BY NUMBEROUS POPES. So YOU figure out what the truth is. Good luck!

I read the book. I thought it was a good read and although knew it wasn't anything to take as true, it does open the mind to think "what if?"....probably why a lot of religious groups don't like the book.
I haven't seen the movie but will when it is released for rental.

I'm not a christian, but I still don't know if I'll see it. I want to see it just to know what all the hype is really about, but it looks like a boring movie. Pretty much, if I could see it for free, I would.

I'm a Christian, and I have no problem with going to see the movie. It's a work of FICTION. 'Nough said. It's for entertainment purposes. People that believe in what they see in movies are stupid. THE MATRIX HAS YOU...lol what a crock. Great movie, but I don't BELIEVE in it.

i'm not Catholic, but i am a Christian, and i still think that what's basically being said is still wrong. however, it is a fiction story, and i think that as long as we realize that going into the movie, it isn't wrong to see it. i think we just have to be careful and realize that it is a fabricated story.

well, I'm not allowed to see it because my parents don't wont me to give Dan Brown any more money, which i personally find ridiculous, because he already has all the money hell ever need with or without my contribution, anyway, i know a lot of people look at this book and movie as non fiction, but i look at it as fiction, so to me, no problem with going to see the movie, as long as you realizes its a bunch of garbage. but interesting garbage ya know?
