The best way to lose weight:

Exercise for 30-45 minutes a day. NO MORE! Your body will produce inflammatory chemicals if you exercise for longer periods a day which will cause you to keep more fat in your body, grow in waist size, and lose muscle mass.

NEVER eat fast food! ...At all! Don't! I don't care if it is a "McDonalds Grilled Chicken Salad." It's bad for you. They load sugar (oh yeah, I'm not kidding) and addictive preservatives in foods which cause you to get hungrier and want more. Eat good, nutritious, healthy food... but remember: Always in moderation. People say red meat is bad for you. Well, it might be... but it doesn't hurt to eat a little bit. I'm not saying go and eat 14 lbs. of ground beef hamburgers. Use moderation. But here's a cool hint. Eat oranges and other citrus foods. They speed your metabolism. I honestly didn't know this but it worked. I lost a lot of weight. :-p

Eat often. Every three hours. Can't do it? Try. :-)

Drink about 5-6 glasses of water a day. People say that you should drink 8-8oz. glasses of water a day... that's 2.2 Liters. Well... it's too much water. The body does need this much water to keep it hydrated, but you get a lot of water from everything you eat, too. So if you drink that much water, you end up with too much water in your body and you start to grow... this is known as 'water-weight.'

Try to walk a lot throughout the day, as a part of your exercise. You can start off small, but gradually increase your goals. Power-walking 3 miles a day will do WONDERS for you. :-)

Drinking more water than you need does not help you lose weight. Not drinking enough of the water you need will prevent you from losing weight. A better strategy is to eat your water since this will cause you to not eat less food but consume a lot less calories.

See site below for this and other strategies. A yahoo search for "weight loss strategies" gives you a list of over 4 million sites. The site below is first (#1) on that list!

Yes drinking tons of water really helps, not only does it flush out your system of any bad that may be in it, but it also makes you feel less hungry b/c your body is filled with water so there for you eat less. My only recommendation is that you don't just jump into drinking tons of water. It would be best if you started on a weekend where nothing was going on, because you will have to use the bathroom alot because your flushing you system out. But i've been drinking about 64oz of water a day, and i've lost almost 25lbs so it'll most definetly work for you as well.

Yes, it helps make you feel full and helps flush out toxins and impurities in your system that are preventing you from losing more weight.

You CAN overdo it though. Don't drink more than 80 oz water in a day. (including coffee, tea, KoolAid, etc., but not milk)

Yes water is the best thing that you can drink, and you don't want to get dehydrated. It really helps you lose weight if water is the only thing you drink, everything else has sugar or caffeine it in and its stored as fat instead of energy.

Water is great when you are changing your eating habits to lose weight because it helps the body get rid of toxins and also helps keep your digestive system healthy. So, drink up!

Water does not help in losing weight. there are no substances contained in water to act on fat cells.

Water only helps detoxify your body and rejuvenate it.
