I don't think it will shrink as that much polyester will keep it from shrinking. Generally, it would need to 100% cotton to shrink.

put it in the dryer. cotton will shrink under heat.

wash it in hot water and dry in dryer but it may not shrink as much as you want

put it in the dryer with lots of other cotten clothes, then put a bunch of fabric softner.
