700 people church wedding, reception at a disco with a n acrylic dance floor built over a swimming pool. trapeze artists performing between after the wedding march and greeting the guests not enough seating 3 dj's and 650 sloshed guests. An absolute blast. Not to mention the hotel ran out of our menu items thrice an someone stole my wedding shoes. What a loss since they were custom made. Although what anybody would do with a pair of lavender shoes, I'd recognize in my sleep, I have no idea. A blast nevertheless .

i had a small beach wedding in an island in the philippines called boracay. We had about 100 guests and we had the ceremony and reception on the shore... by the end of the night everyone was barefoot and dancing. I served blue margaritas to match the theme of the wedding. We arranged the seats so that some are seated on pillows on the sand in low tables and some are in actual chairs...it was so laid back and it was my dream wedding. Check out pictures of boracay online. It has the finest white sand and the bluest waters.

I think I had roughly 400 people. I told my Mom to plan the whole thing and tell me what time to show up. Seriously. The only thing I told her is no real flowers on the wedding cake.
To me, it was just a party because my husband and I were already living our vows. It was nice to publicly state our intentions - that means so much - but we just had a great time.
Afterward, we went back to the hotel and figured out that his Mom was hosting a fajita dinner for all the out of town guests at her house....so we crashed it. (I mean, who can pass up good fajitas and all our friends from out of state that we never see...LOL). She answered the door and turned back to everyone and said "I win the bet...they showed up!"
That was the best time ever!

Never been married, but like every girl I've got my dream wedding planned. My mom and I were watching Martha Stewart one day, and I realized I NEED a shot gun wedding. My dad WILL walk me down the aisle with a shot gun. White flannel wedding dress, pot luck reception. Pretty un-martha-like, but I can't wait. It'll be a blast. Now all I need is a groom...

We had about 100 people. Sunset wedding in my parents backyard, forest fire in the hills behind us :). Candles in jars in the trees, dessert buffet, dessert wines, beer. Around 10PM we moved to a house boat for about 4 hours, looked at the forest fires dieing. Wonderful time.

it was small, in a playground, with about 20 people there. i wore shorts, a bugs bunny shirt, pepe le pew tie, and birkenstocks, and my wife wore a denim jumper thing. we wrote our own vows, and a friend of ours that was a minister performed the "ceremony." afterwards we all went to our favorite chinese restaurant and had a big party there. it was certainly different.
