Average is once or twice per day. Some healthy people go every other day or up to 5-6 times in one day. There is a wide range. Anything outside of that you should probably talk to a doctor to make sure you're healthy.

Healthy people who have enough fiber and water in their diet should release it easily and it should have a slight curve to it. If your releasing in drops your constipated. It you have to strain your constipated and could cause hemorroids. And the word is "Bowel movement" You need at least 8 eight ounce glasses of water per day on top of juice and soda and etc. any caffine you have or exercise then you need to increase 8 to 10-12 or even more according to the amount of exercise you have. The body sucks the water out of your digest food as it moves through the bowels and if you do not have enough then you get constipated because it suck the little you have up. and some people have one a day or some can up to 3 times a day. I heard some people say once or twice a week and that my friend is not healthy. Can you say Colon Cancer. Just think it sits in your bowels and colon there for a week rotting away. Drink water, exercise and fiber. Problem solved

That depends on many factors. What do you eat? Do you take in any fiber in your diet? Do you eat enough cooked and raw fruits and vegetables or eat whole wheat bread? How much water do you drink? Not enough water intake in a day's time will make it harder to have a healthy bowel movement.

Do you exercise every day or almost every day? Exercise along with a healthy intake of water and fiber in your diet can improve your bowel movements too.

Many people are caught up with the notion they should have a healthy bowel movement every day, this is not always true. A healthy person can have a healthy bowel movement every other day or every 3 days.

If you are not satisfied with these answers in this forum ask your doctor. He or she may be able to guide you and inform you better. Good luck!
