Hi, it's me again! Your D70 will produce gorgeous images up to 8x10 inches. For a 2 page spread, you'll need more megapixels.
But if you're looking to produce stellar images, forget about the noob settings that I told you about last night - shoot in RAW and do your post processing on the computer with Photoshop. Your D70 is good enough for many a pro. A more expensive D200 (which I own), a D2x, or even a $7000 Canon 1DsMk2 won't really add much for 8x10 prints. At this level it's not the tool... its the skills.
I'm afraid I don't have any great links for you, but there is a ton of information on the internet about photography techniques and retouching. Or actually, for an idea of what can be accomplished by retouching you could have a look at this forum on dpreview (you can also submit your own pictures there for people to have a go at them): http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1006
Cheers!

The D70 works but if you want it with high quality then use the d2x.

the d70 will do but what you should look forward to purchasing is a photoediting program to retouch the images in order to really get it done like the professionals. i recommend photoshop cs highly.

I wish I knew what kind of camera you were talking about, but I would use the most expensive I could afford.
