i kinda feel im being attacked about this question. i wasnt thinking about not working just that i see people who park in the disabled car spaces and get out nad walk to the shop like there is nothing wrong with them. i have to park further away and am in great pain walking due to my skin condition, which i have been told will never completely go. i just wondered if i would qualify for disabled parking. sorry should have put the question better. thanks

Is your condition permenant?, if so, no harm in applying for DLA, I suggest you go to Citizens Advice to help you to fill in the form.

I have a child on this as he has many disabilities and it took two year to diagnose and then 3 months to get disability, i go to support groups and all the parents have had the same problem. Your first step is to go to the doctors, many skin conditions clear up with treatment and a change in diet or even products that you use. To claim your doctor has to get involved and you have to go through a process of of diagnosis to which only then will they take you serious. And by the by when they decide its a doctor who will access this in certain circumstances, and i believe yours would be. It is no easy task and you would be better off in finding a cure for your problem.

if it impairs your ability to function in daily activities then i reckon you would. please don't be one of those that live off of disability. i am an occupational therapist and there are jobs out there for everyone. i'm not saying you can be a bricklayer or anything. just don't let your disability be your meal ticket.

Please don't abuse the system. Besides, if you get caught, you can get in a lot of trouble. You can get a job doing something that doesn't require you to stand much, even if it is only temporary.
