danskecat I can tell you were put in a hotbox, and you probably deserved it! You need to be thrown into hot coals! Why don't you grow a sense of humor instead of crying about what is clearly a joke?

With an abusive history and language like that, I highly doubt it. Seek counseling!! Oh and here's a number for your kids: 1-800-999-9999 It's the covenant house nine line. Hope I've been of help to you and yours.

Yes, very abusive. Take away priviledges for this age. You will pay the price later on because your kids will develop resentment, insecurities and not trust you. You are supposed to be a comfortable soft place to fall for them. A good parent will work out misbehavior by negotiation, consequences and removing priviledges. My parents did similar things like this as punishment and I had to go to therapy for alot of anger and resentment. A child never forgets. My dad cries to this day about what he has done and would give anything to take back what he did. Don't put your kids there anymore. They deserve better than that and a big apology. Very cruel! Poor child, I feel sorry for them. I studied child development and have worked with kids for 7 years. I have 3 kids, they are happy and well behaved.
Yah, right you are joking. Why bother joking about kids, don't bother going on here. We can see your other questions......Weird?
You can shove it up your *** Your jokes suck and you probably suck as a parent. At least I know I am a great parent.

Yes, people actually do these and worse things to their children, so why wouldn't you think they would take you serious?
This is a hard age for both the parent and the child. The most important thing to remember is consistency. The chores must be done or they loose something they enjoy- (going to movies, playing with friends, etc. THEIR favorite things) If the task isn't completed to your satisfaction, they pay the consequences.
Be ready for a long haul, but you have to stand firm, or everyone will loose in the long run.
At this age they are testing their boundaries and trying to pull away to prepare for adulthood- this is natural and its only the beginning. Stand firm and strong, it's the only way.

At twelve me and my siblings did do chores. We couldn't leave the house if it wasn't clean and if we messed up, no tv, phone, friends, etc. Put your foot down.

i would be careful because your neighbors will probably call child services.
i found the best punishments to be cleaning. scrubbing whatever you can come up with. next if that doesn't work gut his/her bedroom. nothing but a bed. finally a whoop-in.......
