else that many of the people who think they know the bible just repeat a few statements they've heard over and over and really haven't read it at all? Some of the more critical people seem to me to be much more knowledgeable.

You are right on the money. Non-believers seem MUCH more knowledgable about the history of Christianity and the bible as well. Seems like the more you know about it, the less sense it makes....

A person can read and separate Knowledge based people from Repeaters. Often, repeaters do just that, they have nothing new to add. It may be be good to be critical, but when you are criticized, let the chips fall where they do. Scriptural knowledge and Truth triumphs over false statements.

Of course bible thumpers are repeating what someone told them.

Anyone who's actually read the bible wouldn't think of offering it as a citation to prove anything.

Correct. I don't mind, it just seems all the same to me, however, as I don't bother reading bible excerpts. To me, they are of no great value, if not but a serious, pretentious fairytale to explain life when there was no science.

Probably seems like it to you... It is like the answer is NO, and everyone wants to argue on why God is wrong, the answer is still NO. Keep on thinking, it gets circular after a while.

Jesus? Use your brain.

Jesus?

If Jesus died, he could have been God.

Do Gods die?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides a few hours was sacrificed?
