You have to hold the bible at just the right angle in just the right light so you can properly interpret it.
Have you ever noticed how the bible is always the LITERAL "word of God' until someone points out one of the many contradictions?
The simple answer is the bible is nonsense. The biblical answer is that God is a liar and Satan told the truth (they did not die).

Yes because you are reading as history instead of metaphor. Why do you think Adam lived 900 years. Well as history it is obviously ridiculous. As metaphor the ages of the patriarchs in Genesis's add up to a very significant number 1656 in 1656 years there are 86,400 weeks divide by 2 and you get 43,200
in Sumeria Babylonian mathematical cosmology it corresponds to the revolving cycle of impersonal time. the Priests who wrote Genesis were at the time exiled in Babylon. The same number also occurs in Hindu mythology and viking mythology the number and the time it takes the vernal equinox to move through the 12 signs of the zodiac.
You can choose to look at it as history. IT could be a morality tale for children or a secret code of the universe depends on if you think God thinks like a 5 year old or he gave a secret code to the ancients as to where we were in the universe

My interpretation of this is as follows. He will die because now sin has entered their lives because of their disobedience to God and eating the fruit from the tree. He may have lived 900 years, but eventually he died because of sin. Before Adam and eve fell there was no sin, therefore no death.
Hope this helps

Yes, you are mistaken but it's a common mistake of biblical interpretation. Adam and Eve were created as eternal beings. They ate from the tree of life if you'll recall. When they ate from the prohibited tree they began to die physically and died spiritually as well. At that juncture they were in need of forgiveness and a Savior.

Someone said it right, it meant he would be mortal again. Also, remember that DAY to God may be millions of years. Do you really believe that the universe and everything was made in 6 24 hour days? The bible uses numbers like 900 to show a large amount of time.

You are correct. Now, here's a scripture for you to look up in your Bible--2 Peter 3:8. I will quote it for you, from the KJV, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." So, 900 years to us, can be one day for God. Hope this helps.

Your are somewhat correct, when Adam and Eve sinned the aging process started. They started dying phyically but they did die spiritually. (spiritual death is separation from God). Before their sin they could have lived forever. In the same chapter near the end it saying God hid the tree of life from them (after they sin)so they could not eat of that tree and live forever in their sin.
Good question!

in my bible it says "except the one that has the power to let you know the difference between right and wrong. If you eat any fruit from that tree, you will die before the day is over?"
God is telling Adam and Eve that if they eat the fruit from that tree they will die before that day ended.

Death is separation. There are several kinds of death in the Bible and the one you refer to is when because of sin Adam and Eve were separated from God so they died spiritually. That is why later in Gen we read of mankind that all the thoughts and intents of their heart was only evil continually. That is being spiritually dead.

"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."
