It means you have to take your references with you to the intervew.

Both Names and Phone Numbers all Current, Check the phone numbers and make sure that your references know that they should expect a call for their reference for you.

If you are asked back for an interview the following could be possible
1.They have several rounds and u cleared the last one,but expect this only in big companies
2.The last guy they selected rejected their offer
Take reference letters from your previous employers,keep it real not tooo full of praise.Keep expectations realistic.
The people who interview you are as much in need of you as you are of them so stay confident and pray that only the right thing should happen.

They probably mean names and contact info of people who can confirm your past job experience, if any. They usually exclude family.
