I will teach them ethics and values, but not religion. I will ensure that their school curriculum exposes them to a wide variety of belief systems.

I teach my children about God...and we attend Catholic services, because that is what I grew up in and am comfortable with. I do tell them though, that it is important that we find a church that we feel comfortable in and allows us to grow...hopefully they Will learn from this that when they are grown, they should choose a church home that is right for them. I do teach them my beliefs because I will not let them grow into adults with out knowing God...no matter what christian religion you are part of a relationship with God is part of that.....so they might as well learn young how important God is in their lives.

I wouldnt go in depth with what i believe with them, but I would give them a guiding start with what I believe, and that is God. I am no specific religion but I was raised Catholic and couldnt stand being forced onto it. I will let my child decide when they tell me what they want to be, but I will advise them to explore different religions before they make thier choice. I only want my child to be happy when I have one, and if my religion isnt what they want to believe, then thats fine with me. I honestly believe that God will help them choose the right path for them, and he will tell me what I need to do to help them get there.

When they're young, they should probably attend the same church that you attend, and as they get into their teens, then you may ask what they would prefer to do. That's how my parents raised me. I have made the decision to stay with the church I grew up with, although things are very different from when I was a kid... Value your children's opinions, and also let them attend church with friends and their parents. They may just surprise you! I wish you luck and wisdom.

Since my wife and I are atheists, if we have children, they will of course be free to think and believe what they want. We will answer their questions openly and honestly, but if they choose to follow a religious path, we will wish them the best.

I plan on letting my children choose. My parents let my brother and I decide which religion, if any, we wanted to practice. I was baptized at 16, when I decided it was what I wanted. I'm glad they didn't push it on me, I think I would have been more likely to rebel if I had been forced to go to church.

I'll teach them the same way my family taught my; that there is a GOD and it really doesn't matter that much where you worship HIM as long as you worship HIM. I'll try to behonest with them about what why I believe what I believe and expose them to religion from that point and encourage them to explore it for themselves.

Everyone really has their own opinion but I brought my children up on my religion I was raised on and when they are old enough they can choose for themselves.

if you think your religion is the right one ( other wise you wont believe in it ) it should answer all of your kids questions. and i think its your job as a parent to help your child to fallow the right bath in life and to make sure they don't get confused in a young age by different believes . start finding the right one and teach it to your kid.

My children will be brought up in the Christian church. That's what I believe, so why would I want my kids to believe anything different?
